Description
Improvised Shakespeare
The Hamazons perform long-form improvisation – creating one long story that is completely unscripted.
In “Improvised Shakespeare,” comedy improvisation entwines with and embraces the style of The Bard. Inspired by the works of Shakespeare, The Hamazons deliver a full (but short) improvised play in the Elizabethean style. Filled with Shakespeare’s language of poetic imagery and bawdy innuendo, The Hamazons will “take arms against a sea of trouble” and hope that “all’s well that ends well.” Lovers, fools, fairies, and “monarchs to behold the swelling stage” will find a new story of the golden age as The Hamazons discover it for the first and only time with the help of audience suggestions.
